Guild Ball Demos

Come play Guild Ball, the tabletop medieval fantasy football game that is taking the world by storm! Guild Ball takes minutes to learn, yet has incredibly deep gameplay with modern-design game mechanics, a fully realised world, and amazing miniatures.

Guild Ball takes place in a land now known as the Empire of Free Cities; it's essentially a pseudo-historical setting with strong European flavours. The lands of the empire are made up of a huge variety of climates, cultures, and landscapes each controlled by a sovereign City.

The game has been built from the ground up using modern design principles and philosophy resulting in a game that is supremely intuitive to learn and yet possess vast depths of complexity and tactical choices. Success comes with carefully constructed 'plays' and counter 'plays' with emphasis on anticipation, positioning and resource management. Malifaux: The Quick and The Fated

In order to take part in the tournament, the character must have a projectile attack. The Governor despises sissies who only fight with melee attacks. Tara is not allowed!!! No upgrades allowed. Maximum Control Hand is three cards. Starting Cache is halved. If the model has the Use Soulstone ability, she may use soulstones if she first flips a 5+. This represents Guild snipers watching the participants, and shooting the soulstones from their hand (if they fail the flip). The Governor hates cheaters.

Based in an alternate Earth, Malifaux uses Gothic, Steampunk, and Victorian horror with a dose of the Wild West to inject fun and depth into the magical lawlessness of a world rife with monsters, necropunks, man-machine hybrids, gunslingers, and power-hungry politicos. Actively using character-driven stories to define the world of Malifaux, seek your fortune in this fast-paced and brutal 32mm tabletop miniature skirmish game. Assemble your crew and stake your claim!

Malifaux 2E completely updates the rules of the game, adding strategic depth, clarity, and choices. New stories, new factions, and new characters continue to pull you through the Breach and leave you battling for opportunity and survival in the dangerous world of Malifaux.

Tiffin

From BGG: Every day in Mumbai, the bustling financial capital of India, hot lunches are hand-delivered to employees in workplaces across the city. These home-cooked meals, packed in tins called tiffins or dabbas, are picked up from the customer’s home, whisked off by bicycle to a sorting facility, loaded onto carts and wheeled to the train station, loaded onto a train car, unloaded, resorted, routed, and delivered (again, by bicycle) to recipients at work. Each tiffin is carried by multiple dabbawallas (delivery people) along the way. Despite more than 250,000 lunch deliveries every day, mistakes are rare.

From BGG: Welcome to the city of Machi Koro. You've just been elected Mayor. Congrats! A tough proposition since the city currently consists of a wheat field, a bakery and a single die. Armed only with your trusty die and a dream, you must grow Machi Koro into the largest city in the region. T.I.M.E. Stories

The T.I.M.E Agency protects humanity by preventing temporal faults and paradoxes from threatening the fabric of our universe. As temporal agents, you and your team will be sent into the bodies of beings from different worlds or realities to successfully complete the missions given to you. Failure is impossible, as you will be able to go back in time as many times as required. T.I.M.E Stories is a narrative game, a game of "decksploration". Each player is free to give their character as deep a "role" as they want, in order to live through a story, as much in the game as around the table. But it's also a board game with rules which allow for reflection and optimization.

3 scenarios will be played during this session.

Robinson Crusoe: Adventures On The Cursed Island

From BGG: Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island is a game created by Ignacy Trzewiczek, the author of Stronghold. This time Trzewiczek takes the players to a deserted island, where they'll play the parts of shipwreck survivors confronted by an extraordinary adventure. They'll be faced with the challenges of building a shelter, finding food, fighting wild beasts, and protecting themselves from weather changes. Building walls around their homes, animal domestication, constructing weapons and tools from what they find and much more awaits them on the island. The players decide in which direction the game will unfold and – after several in-game weeks of hard work – how their settlement will look. Will they manage to discover the secret of the island in the meantime? Will they find a pirate treasure, or an abandoned village? Will they discover an underground city or a cursed temple at the bottom of a volcano? Answers to these questions lie in hundreds of event cards and hundreds of object and structure cards that can be used during the game...

With over one hundred unique buildings to construct, no two cities will ever be identical.

Cyclades

From BGG: In this latest collaboration between Bruno Cathala and Ludovic Maublanc, players must buy the favor of the gods in their race to be the first player to build two cities in the Ancient Greek island group known as the Cyclades. Victory requires respect for all the gods - players cannot afford to sacrifice to only one god, but must pay homage to each of five gods in turn. Each turn, the players bid for the favors of the gods, as only one player can have the favor of each god per turn - and each player is also limited to the favor of a single god per turn. Revolution! Tournament

Blackmail the printer. Threaten the innkeeper. Bribe the priest. Welcome to Revolution! Secretly bid against your opponents to gain the support of the people, win territory . . . and collect more Gold, Blackmail, and Force for the next round of bidding! Will you try to control the tavern or the fortress? The harbor or the plantation? Knowing where to push for support – and where to back away and let your opponents fight – is the key to victory. It's a game of bluff, counter-bluff, and surprise.

Bidding tokens have different shapes and colors for easy identification. Colorful cardstock shields keep your bids private, and provide a handy rules reference during the auction. Traditional wooden blocks allow players to see, at a glance, who controls which territories. Expansions will be used in this tournament. Prizes will be awarded!

From BGG: The galaxy has been a peaceful place for many years. After the ruthless Terran–Hegemony War (30.027–33.364), much effort has been employed by all major spacefaring species to prevent the terrifying events from repeating themselves. The Galactic Council was formed to enforce precious peace, and it has taken many courageous efforts to prevent the escalation of malicious acts. Nevertheless, tension and discord are growing among the seven major species and in the Council itself. Old alliances are shattering, and hasty diplomatic treaties are made in secrecy. Loop Inc.

From BGG: You and the other players work at Loop Incorporated, the most prestigious time travel agency in the world. Well, that’s not entirely true. It’s a mismanaged, third-tier agency owned by the slick Mr. Loop, who cares more about making a buck than making sure the delicate weave of the time-space continuum stays tight and safe. For you and your coworkers, it’s as good as job as any, and if you time things just right you may even get a nice bonus at the end of the day. And since you have a time machine, you can take multiple cracks at it… assuming things don’t get too chaotic with your past selves running around.

Stockpile

From BGG: Stockpile is an economic board game that combines the traditional stockholding strategy of buy low, sell high with several additional mechanisms to create a fast-paced, engaging and interactive experience. In Stockpile, players act as stock market investors at the end of the 20th century hoping to strike it rich, and the investor with the most money at the end of the game is the winner. Stockpile centers around the idea that nobody knows everything about the stock market, but everyone does know something. In the game, this philosophy manifests in two ways: insider information and the stockpile.
