Vending At TempleCon 2016
We've gone to great lengths for eleven years to make TempleCon a vendor-friendly convention, and make sure any business attending has our full support before, during, and even after the con.
Our specialized vending and expo team is composed of people who are trained to take (at least some of!) the worry and pressure out of event sales, while at the same time working closely with you to make sure that you have a fun and profitable weekend. This means we can help in providing you and your staff with everything from product-ordering suggestions to having our people physically help you into the hotel with your display.
TempleCon offers vendors three flexible options for doing business:
The first is the traditional method of directly vending in the dedicated convention dealers room. We offer configurations of tables at $200 per table, plus the $10 Rhode Island temporary vendor's permit fee (only charged if the vendor doesn't have a Rhode Island vendor's permit already). We allow all kinds of setups and displays, and will work with you to best target your business and items for sale at the convention. This is the solid, profitable option for small to medium sized businesses. The Garden Pavilion will be locked at night, and vending hours there are from 10:00AM to 8:00PM each day.
The second option is the famous "Clockwork Bazaar," or Dealers' Row which encompasses a group of hotel guest rooms on the 1st floor of the hotel between the rooms that host some of our events and the Atrium area that hosts many of our other vendors, encouraging a high level of convention member traffic. During the weekend of TempleCon, the Clockwork Bazaar area is transformed into a living marketplace, and vendors, artists, and artisans open their elegant hotel rooms to the public to do business for the weekend. This is an ideal option for vendors who have a limited amount of product to sell and may already be getting a hotel room, as well as artists, costume designers, or any other creative business. There is a $75 vendor's fee for vendors using the Clockwork Bazaar option, in addition to the cost of the hotel room ($149 per night), plus the $10 Rhode Island temporary vendor's permit fee (for vendors who don't already possess a Rhode Island retail sales permit).
In over a decade of operation, TempleCon has solidified itself as one of the most enjoyable events for the convention year for a number of companies in the gaming and entertainment industry. We provide exceptionally high-traffic expo space for companies, manufacturers, distributors, and studios wanting to promote their products directly to thousands of their fans at the convention. Our staff works with each company individually to best determine their specific needs and requirements for a successful show at one of the fastest growing retro-futurism culture and hobby gaming conventions in the United States. TempleCon's unique underground, festival-like vibe cannot be found anywhere else in the industry, and if you have not brought your business to TempleCon before, we promise you that there is nothing like the exposure that this type of fluid event can offer over the traditional structured trade-show atmosphere.
We are flexible when it comes to your goals as an exhibitor in both terms of price and exposure. We offer multiple location options for booths and live demo space, all of which can be directly targeted to be in close proximity to related events or in the Grand Foyer area that is the most high-traffic area of the convention. TempleCon also offers a myriad of other promotional opportunities to support your industry and targeted demographic.
