Guest Spotlight: Roland Marquis

Roland Marquis is showing several of their designs in the TempleCon 2013 Fashion Show "Intersectional:  Fashion, Flesh, and Biohacks" on Saturday, February 2nd.

Roland Marquis was formed in 2011 when artists Roland St Pierre and Travis "Marquis" De Lange decided to pool their efforts in creating wearable art.  After a year of toil they launched their brand at TempleCon2012.  Since then, they have been showcased in NYC, Boston, and Honolulu, and were finalists in the 2012 RAW: Natural Born Artistes season.

In their own words:

"Roland Marquis is a brand of designer jewelry and accessories whose sole purpose is to push the leading edge of retro-futurist fashion.  Armed with a discerning eye and a love of ageless beauty, we seek to imbue our clockwork creations with the class and refinement of ages past while maintaining modern relevance.  Alongside our passions for aesthetic & functionality we feel equally driven to control our environmental imprint on the world.  Therefore, all of our pieces are handmade from 100% renewable, recyclable, and post-consumer goods."

In addition to showing their work in "Intersectional," Roland Marquis will be vending their work in the Rotunda throughoutTempleCon weekend.
