Minorities and Alternative Cultures will take place on Saturday February 02, 2013 from 10:30PM - 11:30PM in Barrington.

Minorities and Alternative Cultures is a discussion-style panel aimed at exploring the dynamics of minority groups in small and fringe cultures in the US, with an emphasis on minority groups in the retro-futurism culture.

Led by two members of ethnic minority groups, Diana Pho, the founding editor of Beyond Victoriana and editor at Tor Books, and Muse en Lystrala, musician and author, the panel will explore the problems of racism and prejudice in the US particularly in relation to alternative cultures, social responsibility, and what steps can and should be taken to ensure that retro-futurism becomes more diverse.
