CCGs have always been a large part of TempleCon. One can't even begin to mention CCGs at TempleCon without first giving a nod to one of our flagship annual events, the Vampire: The Eternal Struggle Northeast Regional Qualifier. Both TempleCon and its organizers have a long history supporting White Wolf events, and so we go to great lengths to make sure V:TES players from New England and beyond have the absolute best experience at TempleCon.
Of course, Magic: The Gathering is also a classic staple for us, and as the founders of TempleCon are old-school Magic players themselves, it's not something we could even remotely ignore. Since 2006 we've provided sanctioned events for M:tG for both Standard and Vintage Formats, most notably with a Vintage Mox tournament in 2007 and a Shards of Alara Release event in 2009, in addition to regular drafts and even some of the more wild variants for purely casual players. In 2010 we expect to expand our Magic: The Gathering portfolio of events further than ever before, with a stunning series of sanctioned events run by veteran DCI organizers and judges, and directly supported by Wizards of the Coast.
In 2011 we are dramatically increasing our sanctioned Magic: The Gathering schedule to become what we hope will be a must-not-miss weekend for any Magic player. In addition to our schedule of Standard and Limited events, we plan on adding to our schedule EDH and Legacy offerings that we're sure will be popular.
TempleCon is also a fantastic place to demo new CCGs just hitting the market. In the past four years we've set up countless demos for various games, and plan on continuing this trend as TempleCon grows. The Spoils, the fantastic tournament CCG from Arcane Tinmen, will have a huge presence at TempleCon 2011.
